SECURITY INNOVATION RANKS NO. 919 on the 2007 Inc. 5,000
WITH THREE-YEAR SALES GROWTH OF 380.9%
Wilmington, MA - September 03, 2007 - Inc. ranked Security
Innovation #919 on its first-ever Inc. 5,000 list of the fastest-growing
private companies in the country. The Inc. 5,000, an extension of Inc.
magazine’s annual Inc. 500 list, catches many businesses that are too
big to grow at the pace required to make the Inc. 500, as well as a host
of smaller firms. Taken as a whole, these companies represent the
backbone of the U.S. economy.
Security Innovation also ranked #19 in the Top Companies in Security
category, and #43 in the Top Companies in Boston-Cambridge-Quincy, MA-NH
category. You can find the company’s profile at

“The Inc. 5,000 provides the most comprehensive look ever at the most
important part of the economy – the entrepreneurial part,” said Inc.
5,000 Project Manager Jim Melloan. “The expansion of the list has
allowed us to tell the stories of larger companies, older companies, and
a wealth of companies in industries that are underreported in the
business media.”
“The combination of practical experience gained through deep assessment
of the world’s strongest software applications and groundbreaking
research on the hottest IT security issues continues to position
Security Innovation at the apex of the application security and risk
management markets,” said Ed Adams, president and CEO of Security
Innovation.
Security Innovation has developed unparalleled expertise in application
security and risk management for the world’s most dominant and demanding
computing platforms and development environments. At a time (2003-2006)
when the IT security market grew at a 16.9 percent CAGR, Security
Innovation grew at a 47 percent CAGR—nearly triple the industry rate and
with less than ten percent of the capital most start-up companies
acquire.
“Over the past three years, Security Innovation has made a concerted
effort to change its business mix such that its revenues are more
equally distributed between all three core service offerings –
education, risk assessment and risk mitigation,” said Adams. “We have
also found a niche in helping enterprises build sustainable security
programs through strong compliance practices, particularly for the
payment card industry data security standard (PCI DSS). Security
Innovation is redefining the approach to application security and risk
management and will continue our growth and momentum throughout 2007
with innovations to our solutions, services and e-learning/training
programs.”
The 2007 Inc. 5,000, as revealed online at www.inc.com, reported median
revenue of $9.4 million and median three-year growth of 140 percent.
