Thick Client and IDE Plug-in Developer

Reports to:  CTO
Location: Seattle, WA
Position Overview:  Come join a team of developers to create an exciting new product using new technologies such as .NET 3.5, C#, AJAX, SQL Server 2005, Web Services, SOAP, WCF, WPF, Silverlight, and more. We’re creating a tightly knit team of developers to create a multi-tiered application that will include a web front end, a thick client, and a Development Environment plug ins (Visual Studio and Eclipse now) all of which will be driven by a high performance web service and SQL database backend.

The technologies that work today may be replaced with new technologies as our needs change. A great developer is a problem solver first and should be able to solve any problem out there quickly, reliably, and succinctly with any technology at hand..

Developer should have: 

• A true passion for software development
• An excitement about software and new technologies
• At least 3-5 years of development experience
• Exceptional programming ability
• Ability to think on ones feet and problem solve quickly
• Must be smart, driven to succeed and able to work on difficult problems outside of their comfort level without getting frustrated or giving up
• Experience with large personal projects a plus

Skills:

• Experience developing WinForms UIs but excited to dive into WPF and Silverlight development
• Deep understanding of the Visual Studio and Eclipse plug-in models
• Experience with SOAP, Web Services, WSDL, etc. to ensure the best solution for the communications layer
