Security Engineer (for e-Learning Development)
Security Innovation delivers training to development and IT teams
from some of the world’s most recognizable software and Enterprise
IT Organizations. We are seeking to add multiple Software Security
Engineers to our rapidly expanding e-Learning Team.
The Software Security Engineer in e-Learning Development works
closely with other e-Learning team members to create and maintain
e-Learning courses relative to the field of application security.
You will be responsible for developing state-of-the-art e-Learning
material that is driven by business needs and based on content
delivered by the Instructional Design team. Candidate should have
proven expertise in software security and be passionate about
growing and contributing to the success of the company’s e-Learning
program. The training products you create are aimed at software
professionals involved in application security.
Because of your experience, you already possess the essential skills
that are required to successfully create training products. Part of
your added value is an instinct to learn more and the desire for
constant improvement (which requires you to be critical about your
own work.) Knowledge development is a team effort and you must feel
just as comfortable working with business consultants (when talking
about what makes an optimal solution) as you do with engineers (when
discussing technical aspects). Occasionally presenting classroom
training might be part of the job.
Responsibilities
- Gather customer requirements based on business needs
- Participate in course design
- Create and review course storyboards based on design specifications
- Design learning activities such as graphics, animation, games, quizzes and interactive simulations
- Create scripts for animation voiceover audio recording
- Integrate all development artifacts into the e-Learning course framework
Qualifications
- B.S. Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of software security
- Thorough knowledge of the Windows OS (XP, NT, Win2K etc.) as well as Linux and Unix variants
- Experience presenting to or training technical audiences a plus
- Technical writing experience is a must
- Knowledge and understanding of learning theory and instructional design methodologies a plus
- Ability to organize and work under tight production deadlines, while producing quality deliverables
- Fluency in English, verbal and written, is a must
